Unanimous Elections: Anil Lobo to Lead MCC Bank for the Next 5 Years

Mangaluru: As all the 14 nominations filed for the directors’ posts of The Mangalore Catholic Co-operative Bank Ltd. were in order, the Returning Officer, Mr. Sudhir Kumar, Assistant Registrar of Co-operative Societies, declared all the 14 candidates who filed nominations as elected on August 20, 2023, after scrutiny of the nominations, as the required quorum is available to form the board as per the provisions of the Co-operative Act.

As all the 14 candidates got elected unanimously, the election scheduled for Sunday, August 27, 2023, for the post of director will not be conducted, said Mr. Sunil I. Menezes, General Manager of The Mangalore Catholic Co-operative Bank Ltd., in a press release.

With this development, for the first time in the history of 111 years of The Mangalore Catholic Co-operative Bank Ltd., which is popularly known as MCC Bank, a unanimous election was held, and a team led by Mr. Anil Lobo, Fermai, the incumbent chairman, will be leading the Bank for the next 5 years.

Young and dynamic youth leader Mr. Anil Lobo from Valencia team includes members from various regions : Gerald Pinto of Kallianpur, Roshan Dsouza of Mudipu, Harold John Montero of Kelarai, Joseph M. Anil Patrao of Derebail, David D’Souza of Bajpe, Melvin Aquinas Vaz of Mangalore, J.P. Rodriguez of Puttur, Andrew Dsouza of Moodbidri, Elroy Kiran Crasto of Gangolli, Gerald Jude D’silva of Karkala, Vincent Anil Lasrado of Bantwal, Irene Rebello of Kulashekhara, and Frieda Flavia D’Souza of Balkunje are part of Team Anil Lobo.
