Mangaluru, February 23: Anil John Sequeira, a 25-year-old resident of Borimar in Bantwal taluk, has accomplished a rare feat by passing the preliminary, main, and interview rounds of the Karnataka Civil Judge Examination 2023. As a result, he is Karnataka’s youngest Civil Judge (judicial magistrate).
Anil is a graduate of SDM Law College, Mangaluru, with a BBA and LLB. Throughout his academic career, Anil has continuously displayed academic distinction. He began his education at St Joseph Higher Primary School in Borimar, followed by Karnataka High School in Mani for his high school studies. His pre-university education was completed at St Philomena P. U. College, Puttur.
In addition to practicing civil law alongside legal professionals Deepak D’Souza and Naveen S. Pais, the youthful achiever has been an active member of the Mangalore Bar Association. Anil’s path to success demonstrates both his aptitude in the classroom and his involvement in a number of leadership positions. Serving as the School People Leader during his high school years allowed him to demonstrate early leadership abilities.
Anil continued to take up leadership responsibilities while attending SDM Law College, holding the position of class representative for two years in a row. During his tenure at the law college, he also served as the committee’s coordinator, which was an important function.
Anil Sequeira served as the President of Mangalore Diocese’s ICYM (Indian Catholic Youth Movement) in 2022, in addition to his accomplishments in school and the workplace. The fact that Anil, at the age of 25, passed the Karnataka Civil Judge Examination on his second try is evidence of his commitment, tenacity, and love for the legal field. Aspiring lawyers, particularly those in the Mangaluru area, might draw inspiration from his experience.
