St Philomena College Physics Department Witnesses Historic Vikrama Moon Lander Landing!!

Puttur, August 23: In a remarkable event that resonated with enthusiasm and national pride, the Department of Physics at St Philomena College orchestrated an extraordinary opportunity to witness the successful lunar landing of the Vikrama lander, a pivotal component of ISRO’s Chandrayaan-3 program.

Dr A P Radhakrishna, Vice Principal and Head of the Physics Department, set the stage with his opening address, wherein he recounted ISRO’s profound contributions to space science and emphasized the pivotal role of space exploration in modern times.

As Vikrama flawlessly descended and made contact with the moon’s south pole, a thunderous eruption of applause and a heartfelt standing ovation echoed through the hall.
