SJEC hosts a Three-Day Face-to-Face Introductory Faculty Development Program on Universal Human Values
Mangaluru: The All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), in collaboration with St. Joseph Engineering College (SJEC), is conducting a Three-Day Face-to-Face Introductory Faculty Development Program on Universal Human Values from October 18 to 20, 2023, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. The inaugural ceremony commenced with the symbolic lighting of the lamp, signifying the illumination of knowledge and values. Dr. Rio D’Souza, Principal of SJEC, extended a warm welcome to all the dignitaries and participants, setting the tone for this significant event.
Dr. Aparajitha Singh, Assistant Professor at Thakur Institute of Management Studies Career Development and Research, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Shri Deepesh A, Regional Coordinator, South West Region, NCCIP-AICTE, and Dr. Prathibha Patel M, Principal of IMJISC, were the distinguished Guests of Honour. Dr. Prathibha Patel M, Observer-AICTE, eloquently emphasized the profound role of Universal Human Values in nurturing responsible, compassionate, and empathetic individuals and also gave instructions on the Faculty Development Program to all the participants. Rev. Fr. Wilfred Prakash D’Souza, Director of SJEC, delivered a presidential address, underscoring the pivotal role educators play in moulding young minds and the importance of integrating universal values. Fr. Kenneth Crasta, Assistant Director of SJEC, graced the occasion.
Ms. Shama B. N. and Mr. Harsha A. are the UHV-Local program Coordinators. A total of 69 faculty members and 60 participants from various engineering colleges attended the program. The ceremony culminated with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing profound gratitude to all dignitaries, enthusiastic participants, and diligent organizers for their unwavering commitment to instilling Universal Human Values within the academic community, promising a brighter and more compassionate future for education.
