Prof. Udaya k former Vice Principal was honoured on his Superannuation at St Philomena College Puttur

Puttur Nov. 21: St Philomena College Staff Association organized a farewell Programme in honour of former vice Principal Prof. Udaya K on his superannuation from service after serving for 35 fruitful years in the department of Mathematics as HoD and Dean of Science faculty. Very Rev. Fr Lawrence Mascarenhas, Correspondent of Mai de Deus Institutions presided over the function and said in his presidential remarks, “discipline, time management, devotion duty and such other noble attributes will always raise a teacher to greater heights of respect”. As Prof Udaya K has utilized the time and opportunities for the good of the College during his tenure of service, he wished him well for a peaceful retired life.
Principal of the college Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Montiero remembered and appreciated the quality of service rendered by Prof. Udaya K to the Institution and wished him well. Current vice Principal Prof Ganesh Bhat shared his thoughts and memories of togetherness in the department for 33 long years and read out the Citation presented. Prof. Udaya K went nostalgic and thanked all the former Principals and colleagues for their excellent support in discharging his noble duties.
Suraksha, Asst. Professor, P G Dept. of Comp. Science and team rendered prayer. Dr Dimple Fernandes welcomed. Staff Association president Prof Subair proposed vote of thanks. Harshith Asst. Professor, PG dept. of Commerce compered the programme. Rev. Fr Stany Pinto, Campus Director and Dr A P Radhakrishna, Vice Principal of the College were gracefully present on the dias.
