Mount Carmel Senior Secondary students triumph in Pre-Unique, AICS, and Agnofest
Mangaluru: To own your talent, push your limits, fan the fire of creativity, and stand tall with confidence is what exemplifies the uniqueness of the students of Mount Carmel Central School, Mangaluru.
The students have participated in the celebrations of the season by participating in various events of Pre Unique 2023 organized by St Aloysius PU College, Mangaluru, on November 3rd and 4th. Grit and creative efforts have propelled the students on the path to victory.
In the pre-university category, Sudeeksha N.S. of grade XII bagged first place in the photography event, and Prathistha K.S. of grade XI was awarded 3rd place in the pencil sketching event. The school team brought home first place in the fashion show event, which impressed many. The Reporter’s Run event earned Elsha Rose Lewis of grade XI the second place; Jeston Correa of grade XII achieved the 2nd place in the e-sports event; the reel by Siddharth Sudesh Shetty of grade XII earned him the first place in the reel making event; Mina Akbar of grade XII achieved a third place in the mock press event; Elsha Rose Lewis of grade XII was awarded the third place in the T-shirt painting competition; Gahana Jain of grade XII bagged the third place in the Kannada poetry event; Ashwini S Rao and Thaneesha of grade XII achieved 2nd place in the product launch.
Topping it off is the delight of bringing back home the overall championship in the PU category.
In the High School category, Steve Dsouza of grade X C was awarded 3rd place in the Reporter’s Run event; Ashni Tia Dmello of grade X D bagged 2nd place in the Stand Up Comedy event and Sudeeshna H. Shetty of grade VIII D was awarded 3rd place in the event, Beyond the Brush.
In the AICS Prototype Challenge organized by Madhava Kripa School, Manipal, on October 28th, Ganesh Prasad, Avin Francis, both of grade XI, and Mohammed Ahsan of grade XII bagged third place.
In the national level Agnofest 2023 organized by St Agnes College, Mangaluru, on October 31st, Prathishta K. S. of grade XI secured first place in Meraki (pencil sketch); Siddharth Sudesh Shetty and Thanmay Kamath, both of grade XII, bagged first place in Cygnus (mathematics).
