Independence Day Celebration at Holy Redeemer English Medium School, Belthangady
‘Freedom is a celebration, Freedom is Joy’.
Belthangady: Holy Redeemer English Medium School celebrated the 76th Independence Day in grandeur on the school grounds. School Pupil Leader Dhravya Bhandry, with the School band, welcomed and vibrantly escorted the guests: Correspondent Very Rev Fr Walter D’Mello, Headmaster Fr Clifford Pinto, Parish Pastoral Council Vice President Mr Walter Monis and Secretary Mr Gilbert Pinto, Parish Commission Coordinator Mrs Pauline Rego, and PTA Vice President Mrs Supriya D’Souza.
The program began by singing the National song ‘Vande Mataram’. Followed by an auspicious National flag hoisting ceremony and a march past by various school squads. Patriotism was solemnly expressed through patriotic songs sung by the school choir and patriotic dances. Merwin D’Souza of Class 8 expressed the importance of Independence Day. Students Preksha of Class 9 welcomed the gathering, Deepthi of Class 10 proposed the vote of thanks, and Yashasvi of Class 10 compered the program. All teaching and nonteaching staff organised and conducted the program systematically. A good number of Parents and Parishioners were a part of the celebration.
