SJEC AICTE IDEA Lab successfully organized its second workshop of “Life Skills Workshop Series 2023.”

Mangaluru: SJEC successfully organized itssecond workshop of the “Life Skills Workshop Series 2023,” titled “Basic Electrical Repair Skills” on July 28, 2023, at the SJEC AICTE IDEA Lab from 3 to 5 p.m. The Program began with a brief introduction of the domain expert, Mr Madhusudan Shetty, Proprietor of Manjunath Electrical Works, Kuttar, Thokottu, in the presence of Dr. Purushothama Chippar, Vice-Principal and Dean R&D. Mr Madhusudan Shetty, with a rich expertise of 30 years, along with his staff Mr Bharath, provided demonstrations and training for students on working and basic repair skills needed to operate various domestic electrical appliances like ceiling fans, mixers, motors, etc., as well as information on different wire connections in the switchboard. 40 students in total took part in the workshop. Registered students were given the opportunity to participate in a hands-on session for these activities with the assistance of experts in the field.

At the end of the session, participants shared their experiences and valuable feedback regarding the workshop and appreciated the efforts put in by the institution in coming up with this useful life skills initiative for the students at SJEC. The domain experts were felicitated with mementos as a token of gratitude for sharing their knowledge with the students. The workshop witnessed the active participation of a few teaching and technical staff members of the SJEC AICTE IDEA lab.
