CODP receives tools for the specially challenged from Lions Club Valencia, Mangaluru

Mangaluru: Lions District Governor Dr Melwyn Dsouza handed over walkers and crutches to CODP in the presence of District Cabinet Secretary Mr Oswald Dsouza, Leslie Dsouza, President Lions Club, Valencia Mangalore Treasurer Lawrence Serrao, and Secretary Valsa Jiwan, Cyril Jiwan, John Vas, Alwyn Pinto, Jagadish, and Swenie.

Fr. Vincent Dsouza, Secretary, CODP, welcomed the club members and introduced to them the CODP programme for the Poor. Lions President, Mr Leslie Dsouza, spoke of the purpose of handing over apparatus designed for specially challenged individuals from among the needy members of the self-help groups. The use of the tools will be on a rotational basis. Once individuals have finished using these tools, they are required to return them to the CODP centre so that they can be used further.

The president and members promised to work in collaboration with the CODP on future programs. Mr Leslie Dsouza, President of the Lions Club, Valencia Mangaluru, proposed thanks to all those gathered. The programme concluded with a refreshing session.
