Teachers Day at Assumption School, Hiriyur, Chitradurga District, Diocese of Shimoga
Chitradurga, Hiriyur, September 5, 2023: Teachers Day was celebrated in grand manner at Assumption School, Hiriyur, Chitradurga District, Diocese of Shimoga.
At 7:30 a.m., children welcomed Teachers and Manager with the school band. Then the student, Anisha, led the program. Students gave 20 meaningful programmes for Teachers. They showed their gratitude through their heartfelt performances.
Manager and Corresspondent Rev. Fr Franklin D’Souza together with HMs Mr. Henry Crasta, Sr. Martha, Sr. Veronica and Rev. Fr Alphonse Nelson DSouza, garlanded the photo of Sri. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan.
Students conducted games for the teachers the previous week. Prizes were distributed by Rev. Fr Franklin D’Souza.
From the management side, every teacher was given a gift.
Manager and Corresspondent Rev. Fr Franklin D’Souza wished the teachers well in his speech. He appreciated their dedication to forming the students of the school. He said that Teachers Day is as important as the birthday of parents at home. At home, parents take care, and in school, teachers take care of the students. We should always be grateful for their sacrificial service to each of us. He blessed the students as well as the teachers at the end of his speech.
Teacher Tanuja thanked the students on behalf of all the teachers.
