St. Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru conducts P.G. Fresher’s Day – Avatar

Mangaluru: The fresher’s day programme ‘Avatar’, conducted at St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru on 2 November 2022, was a day to celebrate with and welcome the new batch of Post Graduate students for the coming academic year 2022-23. The new batch was encouraged to take up every opportunity that comes their way and be enthusiastic and energetic in the coming year be it participating in events or academics.

The programme was organised by the cabinet and the chief guests of the program were Sr Carmel Rita A.C. the Administrator, P.G. Coordinator Sr Dr Vinora A.C., Vice Principal Sr Clara and HODs of different Departments. The programme was inaugurated by the lighting of the lamp which was done by the administrator Sr Carmel Rita,PG Coordinator Sr Dr Vinora AC, Vice Principal Sr Clara, Dr Premanand Head of the Post Graduate Department of Psychology, the student president and a first year student. Scriptures of different beliefs were read by students as part of the inaugural.

The program was hosted by Maneesha Kashyap from the cabinet and inaugural speech was delivered by the Student president Mahima Anna Varghese. The first years from the Departments of Psychology, English, Clinical Psychology, Commerce, Big Data Analytics and Chemistry showcased vibrant performances in line with the theme  – “cartoons”. The fresher of the year 2022-23 was announced to be Vaibha from M.Sc. Chemistry and was awarded a sash and a trophy. The program concluded with a vote of thanks which was given by Swathi V the Vice President of Department of English. The programme was a huge success and was thoroughly enjoyed by the faculty and the students.
