Shimoga Multipurpose Social Service Society (SMSSS) receives the Kittur Rani Chennamma State Award for the year 2023–24

Bengaluru, March 12, 2024: The Shimoga Multipurpose Social Service Society (SMSSS) is chosen by the Government of Karnataka for the Kittur Rani Chennamma State Award for the year 2023–24 for the Organisation’s work on the empowerment of women. The award was received by its Director Rev. Fr Clifford Roshan Pinto, in Bengaluru.
The award is for the tremendous work done to organize, educate, empower, and emancipate women for the last three decades and more by the successive directors and the dedicated staff of SMSSS.
SMSSS is the NGO of the Diocese of Shimoga, and Most Rev. Dr Francis Serrao SJ is its president.
