Saint Lawrence English Medium School in Bondel observes the Patron Saints’ Feast

Mangaluru: The students, staff, and administration at Saint Lawrence English Medium School, Bondel celebrated the Patron Saints’ Feast. The assistant director of Saint Joseph’s Engineering College in Vamanjoor, Rev. Father Alwin D’Souza, led the Catholic students in a holy service and thanked God for the blessings they had received through Saint Lawrence, their patron saint, and his intercessions.

The chief guest, along with the principal and class representatives, paid floral homage. In his message to the student, Fr. Alwin said, “Saint Lawrence was a faithful and dedicated saint for his mission.” Achieving success was not his foremost aim, but becoming faithful and respecting humanity by being obedient to God was his final destination. Like Saint Lawrence we need to respect the humanity and try to cultivate the values that God desires of us”.

The president, Rev. Father Andrew Leo D’Souza, said Saint Lawrence was a lover of poor people. He teaches us to love the poor and help the needy.
School children entertained the gathering with a beautiful cultural program. Likewise, the winners of various sports events at cluster and zonal level were felicitated during the program. The Rev. Fr. Peter Gonsalves, along with all the teaching and non-teaching staff members, was present for the festal celebration.
