Milagres College distributes food kits to the poor and daily wage earners
Mangaluru: Realising the enormity of corona lockdown in Mangaluru and the untold suffering it has brought about in the lives of poor and the daily wage earners, Milagres College management decided to render its best to the needy and the neglected.
Through its network of faculty and students, the college made a list of those who would need our assistance and helped them at their doorstep. Provisions to sustain a family of four for a period of 15 days were distributed to around 50 families, each food kit costing around Rs 2000/.
In addition the college has donated more than 500 kilos of rice to be distributed through NGOs to the needy. This charitable work is an ongoing one as and when the need arises. The college is able to do this noble task through financial assistance from the college and Mr John Errol Samuel, a generous donor.
