Lourdes Central School Organizes the LCS Charity Mission.

‘We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we get.’

Mangaluru: Lourdes Central School believes in the dictum comforting the afflicted and helping the needy.

As part of the festive season and LCS Silver Jubilee Year, the school organized the LCS Charity Mission with the aim of teaching every Lourdite to hone the charitable skills. There were class wise assemblies conducted to inculcate the value of charity in students. The charity mission was inaugurated on September 1, 2023, and continued until September 6, 2023.

The assemblies conducted aimed to develop the values of humanism, generosity, friendship, and charity. Students learned that through these values, they can bring a smile to the faces of the less fortunate, and it is the golden thread that ties people together.

As Lourdites, we always think of the underprivileged in our society, and the students from Pre-KG to Class 12 brought a variety of groceries, stationery items, sanitary items, etc. to donate to the needy ones of different ashrams and old age homes in the city.

The students actively participated in this mission with love, excitement, and care and showed their generosity without expecting any hope of praise or reward.

Overall, the LCS Charity Mission was a grand success, achieving the aim of giving the greatest act of grace.
