Lourdes Central School celebrates Fr Manager’s 60th Birthday

Mangaluru: Lourdes Central School celebrated Fr Manager’s birthday on October 28th, 2023, at 8 a.m. on the school grounds with great pomp and love.

Rev. Dr John Baptist Saldanha is the most loved and revered figure at LCS. All staff, students, and parents look up to him as their true guru and guide. October 28th was a phenomenal day. The programme began with kindergarten students according a warm welcome and standing beside the red carpeted aisle with balloons and pompoms in their hands, white attire, and a twinkle of a smile on their faces. The warm welcome enhanced the grand entry of the dignitaries as they passed through the beautiful ark of coloured balloons. Rev. Dr John Baptist Saldanha, Manager LCS , Rev. Fr Robert DSouza, Principal, Rev. Fr Suraj Lobo, Rev Dr Vincent Sequeira, Fr Leston Lobo, Vice Principals Mrs Belita Mascarenhas and Mrs Anitha Thomas were ushered amidst loud applause and joyous lively faces of the students.

The M.Cs for the day, Vernon Lobo and Srishtira Mukherjee of class 12, exuberantly welcomed the gathering and also presented a meticulous sequence of events. The school choir group invoked God’s blessings with a melodious prayer song with prayerful intentions for the day. Joshua Karkad of Class X welcomed the dignitaries. Maam Vidhya Joseph conveyed a delightful birthday message. Ayesha of class IX expressed birthday wishes to Fr Manager. Lourdites wished Fr Manager with flowers, gifts, potted plants, and bouquets, which brought a smile to his face. Principal Rev. Fr Robert DSouza, in his message, thanked Fr Manager for being the beacon of light for our school. He wished him all the best for his future and God’s abundant blessings.

Fr Manager, in his speech, thanked the Lourdite family for the celebration and inspired everyone to do their best. The highlight of the day was a beautiful birthday song sung by the school choir and a dance performance by the students of class X, which brought about an atmosphere of joy and happiness.
