Keeping the surroundings clean is our responsibility—Nagaraj Bajal

Mangaluru: Team Siri and Matrix, students of the Department of Journalism of St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), organized Swacch Sulthan Bathery, a cleaning drive, on Friday, March 29. 

Nagaraj Bajal, convenor of Hasiru Dala, was the chief guest. He said, “We should inculcate cleanliness from our childhood. This can help in reducing dumped waste.”.

He explained the importance of keeping bodies of water clean. Bajal has played an important role in cleaning the Nethravathi River. 

Meanwhile, locals joined students in cleaning the surroundings. 

This program helped not only in cleaning the area but also created awareness about cleanliness and sanitation, said the organizers. 

Team members of Siri (Anusha, Maithri, Kshithi, Vinya, Prajnya), Matrix (Sai Krithik, Radhakrishna, Salman, and Arun), students, and locals were present.
