Hore kanike procession at Alangar Infant Jesus Shrine 

Moodbidri: As a preparation for the feast of the infant Jesus on January 8, 2022, the Hore Kanike procession was organized. Devotees in large numbers took part in bringing food material for the festival meal.

Rev. Fr. Gregory DSouza, parish priest of Hosabettu, conducted the prayer service and blessed the devotees and the material they brought. He inaugurated the procession with the statue of the Infant Jesus, which was followed by a solemn Eucharistic celebration.

In his message, Fr. Gregory explained the greatness of the one who gives cheerfully and the blessings we receive from God for our sacrifices and generous hearts. Mr Rajesh D’Souza, convener of 21 commissions, welcomed and compered; Mr Edward Serrao, newly elected Vice President, proposed the vote of thanks. Evening snacks were provided to all who participated.
