Holy Redeemer School hosts and emerges champions of Cluster Level Kabaddi Tournament.

Belthangady: Cluster Level Kabaddi Tournament for Higher Primary School was organised by Holy Redeemer School in collaboration with the School Education and Literacy Department, Karanataka Government, and Block Education Office, Belthangady, on August 28th. The inaugural ceremony took place in the school arena.

Rev. Fr Roshan D’Chuna, Director of YCS and YSM of Manglore Diocese, was the Chief Guest. Correspondent Very Rev. Fr Walter D’Mello was the President. Mrs Varija, Cluster Resource Person of Belthangady; Mr Ramesh Pailar, Cluster Resource Person of Bangady; Rev. Fr Clifford Pinto, School Headmaster; Mr Panchasharappa, Nodal Officer, Belthangady; Mrs Renny Vas, Headmistress of Church Aided School; Mr Walter Monis, Vice President of Parish Pastoral Council and Mrs Supriya D’Souza, Vice President of PTA were present.

Nine boy’s teams and seven girl’s teams from nine different schools in the cluster took part in the tournament. The boys and girls home teams emerged as champions and are qualified for the taluk-level tournament. Players of Holy Redeemer School secured individual awards, honouring Manvith and Manvi as all-rounders and Alin Azi and Bhuvi Shetty as best catchers. Sponsors for the event were honoured with a token of gratitude. Mr Ronald Lobo of Lobo industries, Belthangady was the sponsor for the trophies. The event was well coordinated by Physical Education Teacher Mr Sharath Pinto and elegantly organised by all school staff. Teachers Pallavi welcomed the gathering, Sharath Pinto proposed the vote of thanks, and Elvita Pais hosted the program.
