Bishop Dr Peter Paul Saldanha blesses renovation works of Don Bosco Hall
Mangaluru: “We must co-operate and encourage our art in all ways to preserve the culture and heritage, because through the art we worship the God. Preserving art, culture and our heritage is like God’s work” said the Bishop of Mangalore Diocese, Most Rev. Dr. Peter Paul Saldanha.
He spoke while blessing the Renovation works of Don Bosco Hall, which for the past seventy five years has served drama, Bharatha Natyam, vocals and other arts.
Speaking at the event, Public Relations Officer of Mangalore Diocese Roy Castelino, as the chief guest, said that the presentation of such language could help to bind the society into one.
In the beginning Konkani Natak Sabha President Rev. Fr. Paul Melvin D’Souza Rendered welcome speech. Vice President Liston D’Souza delivered the opening remarks. Secretary Floyd D’Mello saluted.
Raymond D’Cunha Takode compered the programme. Senior artist Dolla Mangalore, Elias Fernandes, Director, Four Winds Mass Communications and Services, Governing Council members Radha Treeza Pinto, Shalet Bijai, Gladys Ruzai, Prabandak Bonifas and others were present at the function.
