A Career Guidance Session organized at St Agnes PU College, Mangaluru
Mangaluru: With a plethora of career options available in contemporary times, the role of career guidance sessions becomes indispensable. In this regard, the Department of Biology organised a career guidance session at St Agnes PU College on July 28th in the auditorium.
The achievers who brought laurels to the college with their outstanding performance in the II PUC annual examination in March 2023 of the science stream were felicitated. The toppers, Samruddhi D., Ananya Madhu, Vandan Rasquinha, and G. Nisha Bangera, along with the centum scorers and distinction holders of the science streams, were felicitated by the Principal Sr Norine DSouza, Vice Principal Sr Janet Sequeira, and chief guest, Mr Ankith S. Kumar.
Samruddhi D, the topper of the science stream, stated in her speech that we need to work hard, be dedicated, and be consistent to turn our dreams into reality.
Mr Ankith S. Kumar, counsellor, Dept. of Counselling Welfare Training and Placement, NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte, was the resource person. He emphasized the various career options available after completing PUC. Students received a wide range of information pertaining to their respective combinations. In addition to the conventional choices, which they can opt for after their II PUC, he also threw light on the profusion of newer opportunities available to students.
The session was moderated by Mrs Liekitha, Dept. of Home Science, Mr Ashwin Kumar, Dept. of Physics, took charge of the felicitation ceremony. Mrs Suvasini, Dean for the Science Stream, welcomed the gathering, and Mrs Prathista, Dept. of Biology, rendered the vote of thanks.
