‘Thinking Day’ celebrated at Holy Redeemer School, Belthangady
Belthangady: ‘Be prepared’, the motto of scouts and guides, prepares the students to be ready to serve the nation selflessly.
‘Thinking Day’ was celebrated by the scouts and guides, cubs, and bulbuls of Holy Redeemer English Medium School, Belthangady, on February 27th to commemorate the birthday of the founder, Sir Robert Banden Powell.
The event commenced with an all-faith prayer by the students and teachers. Avin of class 5 welcomed the gathering. Scout mistress, Mrs Blendin Rodrigues, narrated the importance of Thinking Day. Headmaster Rev. Fr Clifford Simon Pinto addressed the students and encouraged them to be good future citizens and service-minded.
Students performed various programmes depicting patriotism. Cubs and Bulbuls gave their greetings. Scouts and guides performed a skit enacting a historical bravery story.
Sanvi of class 9 thanked the gathering wholeheartedly, and Chaitanya of class 9 compered the event skillfully. Teachers Shanthi Pereira, Blendin Rodrigues, Anitha, Akhida Banu, Elvita Pais, and Jonita Correa guided the students.
