“SJEC Men Handball Team Emerges VTU Mangaluru Division Handball Champions 2022-23”
Mangaluru: VTU Mangaluru Division Handball Tournament was organized and hosted by St Joseph Engineering College Mangaluru on 10th March 2023. The chief guest of the program was Dr Ramananda H S – Dean Student Welfare SJEC and Rev. Fr Wilfred Prakash D’souza- Director SJEC presided over the function.
The tournament was organized for all the engineering colleges of the Mangaluru Division. The winners of the tournament were SJEC, Mangaluru and the runners up were SDMIT, Ujire. The Best Shooter was awarded to Mr Sathish from SDMIT, Mr Jason Allen Carlo from SJEC was awarded The Best Goalkeeper and Mr Sharon S Perumayan from SJEC was awarded The Best All Rounder of the tournament.
The awards and prizes were distributed by Rev. Fr Wilfred Prakash D’souza- Director SJEC and Rev Fr Alwyn Richard D’souza – Assistant Director SJEC. Dr Rio D’souza – Principal SJEC, Ms Vaneesha Rodrigues – Physical Education Director SJEC and Mr Sudheer M – Assistant Physical Education Director SJEC and Mr Poornesh M- Sports Advisor SJEC were present during the ceremony.
