SJEC emerged as the winners in under-105 kg VTU State Level Powerlifting Championship

Mangaluru: The sports team of St Joseph Engineering College, Vamanjoor, Mangaluru put on an excellent performance in the recently held Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) level event and won laurels for the college under the guidance of PED, Ms. Vaneesha V Rodrigues, Mr Sudheer M., Assistant PED, and his coach.
Mr Hrithik Chand, a first-year MBA, secured first place in the below-105 kg Powerlifting Championship by lifting squats of 247 kg, Bench press 132 kg, Deadlift 230 kg, for a total weight of 609 kg held at GIT, Belagavi, on September 7 and 8, 2023.
