Orientation Program for Student Council Office Bearers, held at SPC, Puttur
Puttur November 10: St Philomena CollegeStudents Council in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell organized a workshop for the office bearers of the Students’ Council for the academic year 2022-23. Vice-principal of the College Prof. Ganesh Bhat in his presidential remarks briefed on the functioning of the Students Council and said “The college has a rich legacy of 64 years. It is the responsibility of every office bearer of the Students Council to uphold the dignity and discipline of the college as well as respond positively to the issues of students”
Dr A P Radhakrishna, the Vice-principal and Coordinator of IQAC said “Student leaders should try to encash every opportunity given to them and with their leadership quality and creativity they should emerge as responsible citizens of the country”.
Dr Chandrashekhar K and Bharathi S Rai, Student Welfare Officers instructed the council members with regard to the general rules and regulations which bind the student council in the entire academic year, as the student council is a cluster of responsible and compatible leaders, who will work in tune with the aspirations of the college authority and therefore it is their bounden duty to support perennially to the common cause. They also elaborated on different activities that can be organised by the council for the benefit of students.
Vinston Joy Menezes and Naga Prasad rendered prayer. President of the student council Mohammad Ashik welcomed, Joint Secretary Shivani proposed vote of thanks, and Secretary Anushree compered the program.
Entire student council comprising of class representatives, nominated members from NSS ,NCC, Sports and Rovers and Rangers units are the beneficiaries orientation program.
