MCC Bank, Kulshekar Branch holds Customer meet
Mangaluru: On the occasion of the post Centenary Decennial celebration of the bank, Customer Meet of MCC Bank Ltd, Kulshekar Branch, was organized at Infant Mary Church Hall, Bajjody on Sunday 10th September at 6.00 pm.
The Customer Meet was presided over by the Chairman of the Bank, Anil Lobo.
The meet was inaugurated by Rev. Fr Rovel Shubdeep DSouza, Director of Infant Jesus Shrine, Bikarnakatte, Mangaluru. Rev. Sr Cecilia Mendonca B.S., Provincial Superior, Bethany Congregation, J.R. Lobo, Ex-MLA, Mangalore Constituency and Chairman & Managing Director of M/s Cila Agrotech Private Ltd., were the chief guests. Benet DSilva, Prop. Ben’s & Chairman of Pragathi Co-operative Society Ltd., Mangaluru, Ln Kusuma U Rao, Entrepreneur & President of Lions Club, Ashoknagar, Rev. Fr Clifford Fernandes, Parish Priest of Holy Cross Church, Cordel, Mangaluru, were the guests of honour.
Rev. Fr Rovel Shubdeep DSouza, in his inaugural speech, congratulated the Chairman, management and staff of the bank for the completion 110 years’ of selfless service to the society. He opined that, India was facing difficult time when British rulers left the country. Among many institutions founded in the pre-independence era, a few got merged and others went bankrupt; but MCC Bank still stands tall. He wished more success to the bank in coming days and wished bank to witness immense growth in near future. He requested the management to open branches in abroad to reach out to our people at foreign countries.
Rev. Sr Cecilia Mendonca B.S., opined that MCC Bank has been able to render selfless service to the society only because of the co-operation and co-ordination among the Management and Staff members. She compared the Bank to Saint Mother Theresa, for its service orientation. She expressed her satisfaction for the friendly and cordial behaviour of the staff members. She congratulated the Bank for its sustained customer service even at the time of Covid pandemic which has added feathers to the success and achievement of the MCC Bank.
J.R. Lobo, congratulated the bank on occasion of the post Centenary Decennial celebration. He expressed that it is not easy for a financial institution to survive more than a century in this competitive world.
Rev. Fr Clifford Fernandes, in his address expressed that hospitals, schools and banks are not built by us but by others, but we are reaping rewards for their hard work, in future others should reap rewards for our hard work. He encouraged the senior citizens and others to build a saving culture. He also opined that the MCC Bank has retained the trust of the customers over the years.
Kusuma U Rao, expressed that the MCC Bank is like her parental home. She congratulated the MCC Bank for growing as one of the premiere co-operative Bank in the coastal region of Karnataka.
Benet DSilva, thanked the bank for being the main reason for his business success. He appreciated the sincere efforts and hard work of the staff members in success of the bank.
On this occasion the customers who celebrate their birthdays in the month of September were honoured. The Senior Citizen customers were congratulated and honoured with shawl and flower bouquet. Children of the customers who were excelled in their academic and professional studies were honoured.
As a part of customer meet, open session was held to share the suggestions, opinions and their grievances. Customers actively took part in this interactive session and gave their valuable suggestions.
Chairman Anil Lobo, in his Presidential speech, clarified the reasons for conducting the Customer Meet in all the branches on the occasion of the post Centenary Decennial celebration of the bank. He appreciated the Kulshekar branch for the tremendous growth in Deposits from 24 crores in 2018 to 60 crores in 2022 and advances from 9 crores to 22 crores. He explained that the bank has earned a Net profit of Rs. 8.27 Crore with a Net NPA of 1.60%. He congratulated the Branch Managers and staff members for taking initiative and success of the customer meet.
Vice Chairman Jerald Jude DSilva, Directors David Dsouza, Andrew Dsouza, Harold Monteiro, Anil Patrao, Roshan Dsouza, Marcel M. Dsouza, Professional Directors Sushanth Saldanha, Members of Board of Management, Alwyn P Monteiro, Felix DCruz, Sharmila Menezes, Dy General Manager Raj Menezes among others were present.

Employees of MCC Bank Kulshekar branch, Naveen Crasta, Sanjeeth Rodrigues, Delita Dsouza, Roshan Sequeira, were actively associated in holding the meet. More than 250 customers of the branch were actively participated in the customer meet.
