Lourdes Central School celebrated RASHTRIYA EKATA DIWAS

Mangaluru: Lourdes Central School celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas on October 31, 2023, to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The assembly commenced with the prayer, prayer song, and intentions, where the students interceded for the unity, integrity, and security of our nation.

“How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity” was presented by Rania of Class VIC. Parth Shetty of Class VIID explained the significance of the day. The ‘Ekta song’ was performed by the school choir as a tribute to Iron Man. Cheryl of class VIIIB spoke about the contributions of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge was administered by Prachi of class XB. The Principal Rev.

Fr Robert DSouza shared a quote on unity: “There is beauty and power in unity”. He said that India is a land of unity and diversity, so we need to always stand united. The Preamble of India and the LCS Pledge were recited. The Principal flagged off the Run for Unity, in which the Scouts and Guides, along with the Scout Master and Guide Captain, participated. The programme was compered by Shanel and Alden of Class IXD.
