Mangaluru: On December 25th, Christmas was celebrated at the Infant Mary Church, Bajjodi, as an inter-religious harmony day. A “Sauhardha Koota” was organised inviting people of other faiths. In the beginning, the carols were sung by the parish youth choir. Later, Fr Dominic Vas, parish priest, welcomed all and gave the Christmas message, in which he highlighted the purpose of the birth of Christ. God became man because he loved mankind. He wanted to make us divine. He took upon himself our frail humanity, our poverty, and our sufferings. He became like us in every way except sin.

Then Mr Kiran, the Bajjodi area BJP leader, spoke and said that Christmas is a feast of love and joy. He wished everyone a happy Christmas.

At the end of the program cake and sweets were distributed to everyone. Santa Claus entertained them all and gave them sweets. The whole program was organised under the leadership of Mr Prakash Saldhana, the PPC Vice President.
