World Tuberculosis Day observed at Milagres College of Nursing, Mangaluru

Mangaluru: World Tuberculosis Day was observed by Milagres College of Nursing on 25th March 2025 at the college auditorium, with the aim to raise awareness on tuberculosis.

Miss Lisha, a first-year BSc nursing student, unveiled the theme of the day, “Yes! We Can End TB: Commit, Invest, and Deliver’. Chief Guest of the day, Dr Khatihija Dilshad, District TB Officer, highlighted the magnitude of the problem in India and the world, the importance of observing World TB Day, and various preventive measures.

Resource person of the day, Dr. Shrutha Shetty, NTEP Officer at Srinivas Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, educated the gathering regarding clinical features, treatment, complications, and various preventive measures of TB.

As part of observation, a quiz competition was organised for students. The prizes were distributed to the winners.
 College Principal Dr Diana Lobo and Campus Director Rev. Dr Michel Santhumayor graced the occasion. The programme was compered by   Mr Dion, a first-year BSc nursing student.
