Vanamahothsava celebrated at Holy Redeemer English Medium School
Belthangady: ‘Save trees, save earth; we are the guardians of nature’s gift’
Vanamahothsava was celebrated by the Eco Club members of Holy Redeemer English Medium School on July 12th.
The club members actively took part in the Vanamahothsava with a spirit of conservation of trees.
Suzanna Serrao compered the program. Anceta Lasrado narrated the importance of Vanamahothsava.
Headmaster Rev. Fr Clifford Simon Pinto, along with club mentors Renita Lasrado and Vidyashree and club leaders Janice D’Souza and Levin D’Souza, symbolically planted a sapling during school assembly.
The headmaster addressed the students about the importance of trees and suggested planting saplings in their surroundings to conserve nature. He also announced the
‘Plant a sapling’ photo contest to all students, on account of Vanamahothsava.
Eco Club members planted saplings on the school campus and promised to keep the surrounding area green and clean.
