The ninth day of devotion preceding the annual feast of St Anthony held at Dornahalli, Mysore
Dornahalli, Mysore: The ninth day of Novena devotion preceding the annual feast of St. Anthony of Padua was held on June 12, 2024, at St. Anthony’s Basilica, Dornahalli, Mysore.
Rev. Fr Alexander Daniel OFM, Krupalaya, Bogadi, celebrated the Eucharistic and prayed for the intentions of the devotees with Rev. Fr N.T. Joseph, Rector, St Anthony’s Basilica Dornahalli, and Rev. Fr Praveen Pedru, Administrator, St Anthony’s Basilica Dornahalli, Mysore. At the end of the mass, a novena was held in honour of St Anthony, during which special intercessions were sought for the various needs and prayer intentions of the devotees. A procession of the holy statue of St Anthony and the benediction of the Holy Eucharist were organized after the mass.
Today marks the last day of the Novena, which was successfully held over nine days. Tomorrow, June 13, 2024, is the feast of St Anthony. Masses will be held throughout the day, starting from 5:00 AM to 5:30 PM. All are welcome to participate in the celebrations.
