Mangaluru: “The growth of the institution is the mark of excellence. S.C.S. College and Institute of Nursing Sciences adheres to the quality of education prescribed by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and the apex bodies. I am happy to witness the celebration of the 30th milestone of the institution,” said Dr. (Prof.) Ifthikar Ali, Syndicate Member, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. He was speaking as a chief guest on the 30th anniversary of S.C.S. College and Institute of Nursing Sciences on December 9, 2023, at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Bhavan, Urawastore, Mangaluru. He also congratulated the college for organizing various activities to commemorate the event.
The program commenced with an invocation dance by nursing students, followed by lighting the lamp. Guest of Honor Prof. Alice Daniel, Principal, Malik Deenar College of Nursing, Kasaragod, shared nostalgic memories at S.C.S. College of Nursing Sciences and encouraged the students with her enlightening words. Chief Guest Dr. Ifthikar Ali released the 30th Year Anniversary Logo of the College, and Guest of Honor Prof. Alice Daniel released the College Magazine “Prayaan.”
Mr. U.K. Khalid, Administrative Officer, S.C.S. Group of Institutions, presented the significant developments of S.C.S. College and Institute of Nursing Sciences since their inception. Dr. Rajneesh Sorake, President, Karnataka Educational & Charitable Trust, presided over the function. Prof. Lolita S.M. D’Souza, Principal welcomed the gathering, and Mr. Anil Kumar C.M., vice principal, delivered the vote of thanks. Mr. Basil and Ms. Sonu Anna, B.Sc. Nursing students, compered the program. Dr. Abhinay Sorake, Secretary, Dr. Amarnath Sorake, Founder President, Mrs. Suraksha Abhinay Sorake, were present on the occasion. A virtual tour of S.C.S. College and the Institute of Nursing Sciences from its inception was presented on the occasion.
