Students of Holy Redeemer English Medium School, Belthangady, excel in sports tournaments
Belthangady: Students of Holy Redeemer English Medium School Belthangady bring laurels in Handball and Kabaddi tournament held on August 24.
The School Literacy and Education Department and Block Education Department jointly organised cluster-level Kabaddi tournaments for higher primary boys in Government School, Koyyuru, and taluk-level handball tournaments for high school girls in St Theresa’s School, Belthangady, on August 24.
The primary boys Kabaddi team emerged winners in the cluster level and is qualified for the tauk level. Joshwa D’Souza was titled Best Catcher, while Pranav was titled Best Raider.
High school girls handball team emerged runners in taluk level with one point difference, giving a tough opposition. Vashnavi was titled Best Shooter.
Students were accompanied by staff Blendin Rodrigues, Jonita Correa, Shanthi Pereira, and Sneha.
The physical education teacher, Mr Girish, trained the students well. The correspondent and headmaster congratulated the team’s victory.
