St Aloysius holds an interactive session with visually challenged achievers

Mangaluru: The SAHODAYA Association of St Aloysius (Deemed to be University) organized ‘SAMVEDANA: Touching Lives with Compassion, an interactive session featuring two visually challenged achievers, Mr Mohammed Saif and his sister, Ms Mehnaz Banu, on August 2, 2024, in Robert Sequeira Hall, LCRI Block.

Mohammed Saif, an alumnus of St Aloysius Evening College, studied a Bachelor of Business Management course and is currently holding the position of Senior Principal Recruiter at People Gamut HR Solutions. Mehnaz Banu, an alumnus of Besant College, Mangaluru, is a homemaker.

Mr Mohammed Saif and his sister, Ms Mehnaz Banu, shared their life stories, discussing the challenges they faced and how they overcame them. The session provided participants with an opportunity to see life from a different perspective and encouraged them to develop empathy and awareness towards individuals with visual disabilities. 

Dr Alwyn DSa, Registrar, Dr Charles Furtado, Director Admin Block, and SAHODAYA Presidents, Mr Vinay D. R., Ms Alita DSa, Ms Bhoomika, Dr Roshan DSouza, were present for the programme. Student secretaries Neel Shetty, Shreya Bhaskar, Shresta Poojary, and Mahammed Afham coordinated the programme.
