St Agnes College organizes a Session on “Conquer Exam Fear with Confidence and Preparation”
Mangaluru, October 21, 2024: The Department of Business Administration conducted an extension activity titled “Conquer Exam Fear with Confidence and Preparation,” which aimed to help participants understand the causes of exam anxiety and equip them with practical strategies to manage it effectively.
The session began with participants sharing their concerns, highlighting that fear is a natural response but can be managed through preparation and mindset shifts. The discussion covered the physiological effects of fear, such as increased heartbeat and difficulty focusing, along with common triggers like fear of failure, lack of preparation, and high expectations.
Techniques to overcome fear included breaking the syllabus into smaller tasks, practicing mock tests, using positive affirmations, visualizing success, and adopting a growth mindset. During exams, participants were advised to start with easier questions, stay calm, and take breaks if needed. The session concluded by emphasizing the importance of post-exam reflection and celebrating small wins to maintain a positive attitude.
