Seventh Day of Devotion Preceding the Annual Feast of St Anthony Held at Dornahalli, Mysore
Dornahalli, Mysore, June 10, 2025: The seventh day of the Novena in preparation for the Annual Feast of St Anthony was devoutly observed at St Anthony’s Basilica, drawing a large number of faithful to partake in this spiritual journey.
The morning Mass was celebrated by Rev. Fr. David Sagayaraj, Rector of the Basilica.
In the evening, the Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by Rev. Fr. Gnana Pragasam, Parish Priest of St John Paul II Church, Mysore.
The theme for the day, “Hope proclaims victory over slavery,” inspired the faithful to embrace hope as a powerful force that liberates the soul from all forms of bondage—be it sin, fear, or despair—and leads to spiritual triumph.
Following the Holy Mass, the Novena prayers were devoutly recited in honour of St Anthony, invoking his powerful intercession. The day’s observance concluded with a Procession of the Holy Statue of St Anthony, followed by the Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament, leaving the faithful with hearts uplifted and filled with renewed spiritual strength and freedom.
