Seminar on Organics for Flexitrons held at St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru

Mangaluru: The Postgraduate Department of Chemistry, Centre for Postgraduate and Research, St Agnes College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, organized a seminar on “Organics for Flexitronics”, on September 5, 2023.

The resource person was Dr N. Somanathan, Retired Deputy Director and Head of Polymer Science and Technology at CLRI-Central Leather Research Institute, Chennai, and Dr Geetha Pinto, Associate Professor, was the convenor of the session. The session was attended by the Degree students, the faculty members, and the postgraduate chemistry students. Sr Tomsy emceed the seminar, and the session began with a prayer song from Ms Chaithralaksmi along with her classmates.

Dr Sapna Kumari, the head of the department, welcomed the gathering and introduced the resource person to the audience. Dr N. Somanathan introduced the application of organic chemistry into electronics and its numerous applications in polymer science. The audience had a short interaction with the resource person after the presentation. The session was concluded by a vote of thanks from Ms Jeena Thomas, a faculty member of the department, followed by the college anthem.
