SCS College & Institute of Nursing Sciences holds Lamp Lighting & Oath Taking Ceremony
Mangaluru: The lamp lighting and oath-taking ceremony of the 31st batch of B.Sc Nursing students and the 22nd batch of GNM students of SCS College & Institute of Nursing Sciences was held on 17th January 2025 at KAMC Auditorium, Ashoknagar, Mangaluru. The program was inaugurated by Chief Guest Dr. Padma Priya S, Principal, Dr. M.V. Shetty College of Nursing, Mangaluru. Dr. Abhinay Sorake, Secretary, Karnataka Educational & Charitable Trust, presided over the function. A heartwarming welcome speech was given by Ms. Ashwitha. The novice nurses received the light from the chief guest of the program. Mrs. Ashwini U., Associate Professor, highlighted the significance of the day.
The chief guest, Dr. Padma Priya S., in her address, congratulated the students for selecting this noble profession and stressed the importance of touch in patient care and nurses responsibilities in patient care.
All the novice nursing students were rendered into the profession by taking the nurses oath delivered by the Principal, Prof. (Mrs.) Lolita S.M. D’Souza. The program was compered by Ms. Clesiy. A vote of thanks was delivered by Mrs. Supreetha. Mr. U.K. Khalid, Administrative Officer, and Mr. Anil Kumar, Vice Principal, and Coordinator Mrs. Rajashree were present for the program.
