Rachana Catholic Chamber of Commerce and Industry celebrates International Women’s Day

Mangaluru: International Women’s Day celebration was held on 12 March Sunday evening at Mangalore Club.

Mrs. Glady Alvares, Mrs.  Sharon Dsouza n Mrs. Salomi Deepa Lobo spoke about their journey as Women entrepreneurs and professionals.

Mrs. Divya Dsouza of M. Dsouza & sons was the chief guest. She spoke about her journey from being a corporate to a Woman Entrepreneur.

There were 23 other Women entrepreneurs who were invited as special guests. These were achievers in their own field. From aged 75 yrs of age to just in late twenties from various fields. These were recognized and a memento was presented to each of them.

Program began with a prayer song. Rachana Secretary Mrs. Lavina Monteiro welcomed the gathering on behalf of the President. Rachana Treasurer Mrs. Eulalia Dsouza was the convener & moderator of the program.

Mr. Vincent Cutinha President of Rachana in his message mentioned that women play an important role in the family n the society. Mrs. Marjorie Texera introduced Divya Dsouza to the gathering. Divya Dsouza in her message mentioned that a woman can achieve what she does with the support of a man. In her case initially her father and then her father in law.

There were almost 50 women present for the program. In all, the program was well appreciated by many. Joint Secretary Mr. Philip Pereira proposed vote of thanks. Meeting ended with fellowship and dinner.
