Puttur: Voluntary Blood Donation Camp held at St Philomena College
Puttur: Youth Red Cross Society, 9KAR BN NCC, IQAC, National Services Scheme and Students’ Council of St Philomena College Puttur and Indian Red Cross Society Puttur jointly organized Voluntary Blood Donation Camp in association with Blood Bank, KMC Hospital Mangalore at St Philomena College Puttur on January 21.
Dr. Sowmya Shivakumar, Assistant Medical Officer, Blood Bank, KMC Hospital Mangalore participated as the chief guest. She spoke about the significance of blood donation.
Mr. Oscar Anand, Presidnet of Indian Red Cross Society Puttur expressed his compliments to the blood donors.
Prof. Leo Noronha, Principal of the College delivered presidential address.
The faculty and the students of the college voluntarily donated 147 units of blood.
The convenor of Youth Red Cross Society Mrs. Venkateshwari K S welcomed the gathering. The co-convenor Mr Nilesh Joy Dias proposed the vote of thanks. The co-convenor Mrs. Nancy Lavina Pinto compeered the programme.
