Padua Verve 2023 Intercollegiate PU and UG Fest Report on November 16th and 17th, 2023
Mangaluru: The Padua Verve 2023 fest commenced with a grand inauguration on November 16th at 10 a.m. on the open-air stage. The correspondent of Padua Educational Institutions, Rev. Fr Vincent Monteiro, presided over the inaugural function. The chief guest for the program was Mr Arjun Kapikad, a renowned Tulu film actor. Guests of honour were Mrs Shakila Kava, Corporator Kadri North, and Mr Vinod D’Souza, President, Parish Pastoral Parishad, Bendore. Other dignitaries present were Principal Rev. Fr Arun Wilson Lobo, Programme Convener Prof. Roshan Santhumayor, Staff coordinators Mrs Zeena and Prof. Akshatha, IQAC Coordinator Mrs Jesfrida Menezes, Student Coordinator Mr Vinith Fernandes, Student Council President Mr Wilson D’Souza, Secretary Melita D’Souza, and Cultural Secretary Robin Noronha.
The inaugural ceremony marked the beginning of an exciting fest, with Ms Melita and Mr Shawn handling the compering duties. The chief guest, Mr Arjun Kapikad, motivated students to take up opportunities whenever they were exposed to them.
The fest saw active participation from 13 PU colleges and 12 UG colleges, participating in eight diverse events tailored for PU students and UG students. The events showcased the intellectual and creative prowess of the students, fostering a spirit of healthy competition.
