P.A First Grade College organizes World Consumer Day—March 15, 2025
Mangaluru: P. A First Grade College, in association with University College, Mangaluru, organized The World Consumer Rights Day 2025 on 15 March 2025 at 10:30 AM in the Seminar Hall to celebrate and raise awareness about consumer protection and rights. The event, organized to coincide with the annual observance of World Consumer Rights Day, aimed to emphasize the importance of protecting consumer interests and promoting awareness of consumer rights.
Advocate K. Prithviraj Rai, Former President, BAR Association, Mangaluru, was the Chief Guest of the program. Advocate K. Prithviraj talked about the history and origin of Consumer Day. He also mentioned the Consumer Protection Act. Dr. Jayavantha Nayak, Professor of Economics, University College, Mangaluru; Dr. A Siddiq, MOU Convenor, University College, Mangaluru; Mr. Sharafuddeen P. K, AGM (Campus), PAET; and Dr. Sayyed Ameen Ahammad, Dean (SA), PAET, were the distinguished guests. Dr. Jayavantha talked about the prevention methods and also expanded the term CONSUMER with suitable examples. He also raised awareness about the rights and motivated everyone to understand the laws and rights. The program was presided over by Dr. Surfraz J. Hasim, Principal, P. A. First Grade College, Mangaluru.
