Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary celebrated at Lourdes Central School

Lourdes Central School organised a short and meaningful programme on the occasion of the Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary on 7 September 2022 in the school Lobby. The programme began with the universal prayer followed by melodious prayer song sung by the choir group and intentions which created a prayerful ambience.
Carol Mascarenhas of Class XD cheerfully welcomed everyone and Jaden Saldanha of Class VII A enlightened us on the significance of the day which made everyone feel that we are indeed blessed to have Mary has our mother who always protects our families. He also highlighted on traditional ways of celebration by offering flowers by little children to ‘mamma Mary’ we shows our love, respect and gratitude towards our beloved mother.
The Principal gave his thought provoking message that we need make our lives better by reaching out to others around us in whatever possible manner during this delightful moment of the festive season.
Eucharistic celebration was organised for the catholic students and special prayers were offered for world peace and for the farmers who toil for making the food grains available for us.
The programme ended with the feelings of gratitude expressed by Aadhya Shetty of Class VI A.
