National Seminar on “Understanding Gandhi
Mangaluru: The Department of Political Science, St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangaluru in association with Mangalore University Nehru Study Centre organizing a one-day National Seminar on “Understanding Gandhi” on 29th October 2022 at 9.30 a.m. in Sanidhya Hall of the College”.
Prof. B.K Chandrashekhar, Former Education Minister, Government of Karnataka will inaugurate the seminar. Capt. Ganesh Karnik, Former MLC, Government of Karnataka will be the Chief Guest for the programme. Rev. Fr Melwin J. Pinto, SJ, Rector, St Aloysius Institutions, Mangaluru will preside over the programme.
There will be 3 sessions during the programme. The first session by Prof. Chandan Gowda, Director, Ramakrishna Hegde Chair, ISEC, Bengaluru will speak on “Hind Swaraj: A Critique”. The II Session will be the Paper Presentation by Prof. K.M Lokesh, Department of History, Mangalore University on “Gandhi and Nationalist Movement” and Prof. Meti Mallikarjun, Sahyadri Arts College, Kuvempu University, Shimoga on “Gandhi and the Language Question”. The III session by Dr. Kiran M. Gajanur, Department of Public Administration, Central University, Gulbarga on “Gandhi and Alternative Politics”.
