National Level UG Commerce and Management Fest and PG Paper Presentation ‘PHILOVENTURA 2020’ held at St Philomena College
Puttur: The Post Graduate Department of Commerce of St Philomena College Puttur organized National level UG Commerce and Management Fest and PG Paper Presentation ‘PHILOVENTURA 2020’ on February 18, 2020 in Silver Jubilee Memorial Hall of the college.
The inaugural function was held in the morning. The Deputy General Manager of Campco Chocolate Factory Puttur Mr Francis D’Souza inaugurated the Fest. Campus Director and Chairman, Centre for PG Studies and Research Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro participated as the chief guest. Principal Prof. Leo Noronha delivered presidential address.
On this auspicious occasion, the first rank winner Ms Navya Bhat and the 10th rank winner in MCom examinations of Mangalore University Ms Aparna were felicitated. Moreover, the two students, namely, Mr Siyad P A of second year MCom and Ms Nishmitha of first year MCom were honoured for successfully clearing the UGC National Eligibility Test for Lectureship.
Ms Megha and team presented the prayer song. The Coordinator of the Department Rev. Fr Rithesh Rodrigues welcomed the gathering. The Student Coordinator Ms Kavana P proposed the vote of thanks. Ms Joshila Menezes compeered the programme.
In this Fest, there were seven events for the UG students. Forty six teams from various colleges have participated and the overall championship of ‘PHILOVENTURA 2020’ was bagged by SVS College Bantwal. The Runner up trophy was secured by Vidya Rashmi First Grade College Savanoor. In Paper Presentation, twenty PG teams have participated and the ‘Best Paper’ award was secured by Centre for PG Studies of Alva’s College Moodbidri.
The valedictory function was held in the evening. The chief guest Mr Vincent Fernandes, Retired Head Master and Philanthropist, guest of honour Mr Jayanth Nadubail, Proprietor of Akshaya Farms, Sampya, Principal Prof. Leo Noronha, Campus Director Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro and Coordinator of the Department Rev. Fr Rithesh Rodrigues felicitated the prize winners.
Mrs Niveditha welcomed the gathering. The Student Coordinator Mr Shreeramnandan proposed the vote of thanks. The faculty of the Department Ms Supriya P G presented the list of prize winners. The Staff Coordinator Mr Yashvanth G Nayak and Rev Fr Sunil Grorge D’Souza coordinated the programme. Ms Dhanya N compeered the programme.
