Mangaluru: The Carmel Blossoms of Mount Carmel Central School, Maryhill celebrated their day with the inmates of Bala Yesu Children’s Home on 20th of November, 2021.

The Carmel Blossoms along with their animators Sr Lidwyn Pinto AC and Sr Supreetha AC hosted a meaningful programme for the children of the Bala Yesu Nilaya. Senora and Perpetua sang a devotional Kannada hymn and the inmates too joined them. The children along with the superior of the Convent Sr Roseema AC and warden Sr. Premalatha AC were warmly welcomed by Perpetua. A group action song was sung by the singers of the Carmel Blossoms led by Edel Lewis. Once again the inmates joined the singers with their impeccable actions. A play enacted, had in it fun which held the audience in splits of laughter.

The children’s eyes were glued to the vibrant dance by the Carmel Blossoms. The mass dance by the inmates and the Carmel Blossoms was indeed the highlight of the programme. Then came the most awaited moment of the day – Neha assisted by Sr Lidwyn and Sr Supreetha conducted a few games for the children and the winners were felicitated. It was a sight of gratification to see every child happy as they received a gift coupled with love from the Carmel Blossoms and the management of the school.

The children from the shelter home and the Carmel Blossoms felt a feeling of oneness over the refreshment specially arranged for the day. A student from the children’s home delivered a heartfelt note of gratitude followed by a few moments of interaction with the children. Indeed, a befitting way to celebrate the Carmel Blossoms’ Day.
