Mount Carmel Campus bustles with School Feast Activities
Mangaluru: The campus of Mount Carmel Central School, Mangaluru, bustled with excitement on Saturday, July 13th, as the students from grades I to XII took part in creative competitions in preparation for the school feast, the feast of Mary, Mother of Carmel, the patroness of the school. The vibrant displays of featured art work, quotes, and informative contents demonstrated the students’ dedication, artistic talent, and understanding of nature.
Each grade at the primary level was assigned a unique theme to depict on the class notice boards. Grade I students transformed the hallways into a vibrant garden with their colourful and imaginative flower displays. Grade II created lively and informative displays of various fruits. In Grade III, the focus was on vegetables, and in Grade IV, students brought the animal kingdom to life with creative displays featuring animals from different habitats.
The students from grades V to XII, in keeping with the theme of the celebration, displayed their imagination, creativity, and resourcefulness by incorporating elements of nature along with handmade, repurposed, recycled, and DIY material to present their very own ‘Carmel Garden’.
The event was filled with joy, reflection, and a renewed commitment to the values that Mount Carmel Central School upholds, fostering a sense of teamwork and joy among students.
A get-together was organized for the staff with a warm note of welcome by Principal Sr Melissa, followed by meaningful prayer time that included contemplation and thankfulness to the Almighty. Sr Carissima, the administrator of the school, in her message, encouraged the staff to be positive, trust God, and be a smiling presence and inspiration to the students. The day ended joyfully with games conducted by Tr Neeta, followed by a sumptuous festal meal.
