MCC Bank holds Staff Performance Review & Award Ceremony 2023-24

June 10, 2024

Mangaluru: The Staff Performance Review & Award ceremony for the year 2023–24 of the bank was held on June 8, 2024, at the P.F.X. Saldanha Memorial Auditorium, Administrative Office, Mangaluru. The review began with a prayer led by Aldrin Dsouza & team.

The program was inaugurated by Rev. Fr John Vas, former Procurator of Mangalore Diocese, by lighting the lamp.

Speaking on the occasion, Fr John Vas expressed that recognition of service for an institution is very important as it encourages the staff to work proactively towards the progress of the bank. He called upon the constituents of the bank to have a better attitude towards work and to be happy to work for the bank. He said that the target is very important since it helps to enhance the growth of the bank. He recalled the saying, “Aim at the sky; you’ll reach the top branch of the tree.” He congratulated the management and the staff members for the tremendous progress made by the bank during the last decade.

MCC Bank Chairman Sahakara Ratna Shri Anil Lobo presided over the program. In his presidential address, he appreciated and congratulated the staff members for their dedicated service, as it has helped to gain trust among the members and customers of the bank. He congratulated all the managers and staff members who achieved individual milestones and shared mobilization for the financial year 2023–24. While congratulating the six branches that achieved their branch target, he aspired that all the branches would achieve the target for the year 2024–25 and receive the award. He recalled that only 15% of the staff have achieved the individual target this year and called upon at least 60% of the staff members to achieve the target for the year 2024–25. He emphasised that collective efforts among the staff members will always yield good results for the branch. Every staff member should follow the example of Mr John D’Silva, who has worked selflessly for the betterment of society. He urged the staff members to be more disciplined, confident in the products of the bank, and to enhance the PR of the bank. While he stressed that the loan target should be invariably achieved by all the branches, he presented the vision of expanding the bank to new places.

The advisor, Shri S.H. Visweswaraiah, reviewed the performance of the Bank for FY 2023–24 and analysed the factors that led to the excellent growth under various parameters. He appreciated the staff members for their tremendous achievement in achieving the business targets under loans and advances and also in improving the financials of their respective branches.

Shri John D’silva, an eminent personality in the cooperative sector, was the chief guest for the award ceremony. In his address, he opined that the only people who are largely recognised by society are bank employees, as they help the people in society in their day-to-day business and other business-related matters. He appreciated the management for opening a new branch after a long span of 22 years. In the present competitive scenario, it is very difficult to run an urban cooperative bank. But, in spite of having hardships and challenges, MCC Bank is progressing to new heights. He called upon the bank to strive hard to attain the scheduled bank status very soon.

The 5th edition of Banks Bulletin was released by chief guest Mr John Dsilva.
