Math Week: Fun with Shapes for Kindergarten, held at Lourdes Central School

Mangaluru: A shape can be defined as the form of an object or its outline. Everything we see in the world around us has a shape. In order to bring out the creativity in the kids, along with their parents, an activity called Fun with Shapes was held at Lourdes Central School.

Children and their parents had put in a lot of hard work and created creative things like wall hangings, houses, transport, amusement areas, etc. It was a lovely sight to see all the things that were exhibited in the kindergarten activity hall. The parents were called at 12:45 noon to view the exhibition of the little ones. They were really thrilled to see the different ideas put forth by the parents. Songs about different shapes were taught. Fr. Principal came around to see the exhibition, where he applauded the parents and kids. The winners of the activity were awarded by Fr. Principal.

Thus, we can say we never shape the world; the world shapes us.
