Lamp Lighting & Oath Taking Ceremony at S.C.S College Of Nursing Sciences
Mangaluru: The lamp lighting and oath taking ceremony of the 29th batch of B.Sc Nursing students and 21st batch of GNM students of SCS College & Institute of Nursing Sciences was held on 14th February 2023 at KAMC Auditorium, Ashoknagar, Mangalore. The programme was inaugurated by Chief Guest Sr. Deepa Peter Principal, Athena Institute of Health Sciences, Mangalore. Dr. Abinay Sorake, Secretary, SCS Group of Institutions presided over the function. A heart warming welcome speech was given by Ms. Deepa. The novice nurses received the light from the Chief Guest of the programme. Mr. Denzil, Asst. Lecturer highlighted the significance of the day.
The Chief Guest Sr. Deepa Peter, in her address congratulated the students for selecting this noble profession and stressed on the importance of touch in patient care and nurses responsibilities in patient care.
All the novice nursing students were rendered into the profession by taking the nurses oath delivered by the Principal, Prof. (Mrs.) Lolita S.M D’Souza. The program was compered by Ms Favela Mendonsa, Asst. Lecturer and vote of thanks was delivered by Ms. Manisha, Asst. Lecturer. Mr U.K Khalid Administrative officer, Mr. Saju M V, Assistant Administrative officer and Mr. Anil Kumar, Vice Principal, Mrs. Pramila H V and Mrs. Divya, co-ordinators was present for the programme.
